City view in Be Poet Baixa Hotel
Be Poet Baixa, a boutique hotel, is perfectly located in central Baixa for a first time exploration of Lisbon. A short walk to Rick Steves’s walking tours, a 6 minute walk to the Rossio Station for a day trip to Sintra and a 4 minute walk to Praça da Figueira with tramway service to Belem. The rooms are small but nicely decorated and well-appointed with a Nespresso type machine, safe, hairdryer, good Wi-Fi connection and plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Some rooms overlook the busy pedestrian Rue Augusta, but the windows are sound proofed and do a good job at keeping most of the noise out. The bed is comfortable with soft sheets. The bathroom is smallish but has counter space around the sink and a reasonably good sized shower. There is some storage for hanging clothes and a place to put one suitcase but not much more. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast served in their restaurant had a nice selection of mostly cold buffet items – breads and rolls, cheeses and cold cuts, a good selection of sliced fruits, cut vegetables, yogurt, cereal, a large selection of pastries, jams and juice. For hot items they had two kinds of scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, beans and mushrooms. Filtered coffee is served to your table.

I don't know where to start when it comes to the Be poet Baixa hotel.. First of all, the hotel is located in a perfect location, in the center of the city. It is close to everything, metro stations, public transport, places where you can take Uber, many attractions... The rooms are spotlessly clean and smell wonderful, the towels are changed every day and the beds are super comfortable. Incredibly comfortable and great to sleep on. The breakfast was excellent and gives you a lot of energy needed for a whole day of walking and sightseeing. The hotel staff is phenomenal. It is a team of young people who are extremely dedicated to their work and their guests. All to one! I'm sure that Lisbon offers many wonderful hotels of even higher categories, but my heart remained exactly in the Be Poet Baixa Hotel, for a reason ❤️ and that's why I will definitely choose it again for the next visit. As someone who was traveling alone, each of the details listed above was extremely important to me. You exceeded all my expectations and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful memories I have from Portugal, thanks to you in a big way. Aleksandra

I cannot say enough how WONDERFUL this hotel is! Staying there several nights, we loved our room. It overlooked the walking street as we enjoyed listening to the music down below when we rested in our room mid day. The windows also seal and block out every sound if you want quiet. Everyone on the staff team is exceptional in every way with recommendations, questions asked, and helping you! The breakfast spread was awesome, too, with very accommodating hours. Telmo went out of his way to arrange help, make several phone calls, and even walk with us when we desperately needed something. Another time, my leg was acting up and they even delivered ice with towel to the room to rest on my knee. The communication through messages was prompt and helpful as we planned our first stay in Portugal by ourselves. They even commented on something in our messaging that mentioned months earlier. They really do give a personal touch. The location is perfect as the restaurants and shops are level all around, which is great at the end of your day when you are tired. Stay here! We hope to come back and will definitely stay at Be Poet Baxia.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Room was very clean and comfortable and the balcony had a view down Rua Augusta to the arch and the river. Reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and obliging, and the pastel de nata and glass of port on arrival were a lovely touch. Plenty of choice for breakfast - fruit, yogurt, cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. Location is great, very close to metro and tram stops, so it was easy to travel by metro from the airport, and as it's a pedestrian area it's very quiet at night despite being right in the centre of Lisbon. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the street outside or within a very short walk but it's also worth venturing a little further to Alfama to try some of the places there. We loved it and would definitely stay here again on any future trips to Lisbon.

The location of Be Poet was so central it was untrue! Easy to get to Rossio Metro station and also around town and restaurants and the sights. The room we had was 1003 and certainly adequate for what we required. It was clean, had a safe and accessible via a lift. The breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of it as well as being delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful especially Soraia on the front desk, exceptional customer relationship skills.
